About
I am an illustrator and author of childrenβs picture books based in Putney, London. I love to create work using ink, gouache and colour pencil. My inspiration comes from the humour and whimsy in everyday aspects of life. One of my favourite things to draw is architecture but through a wonky lens. I always have a sketchbook on me; I particularly love drawing whilst on holiday when you can while away the hours taking in everything around you. At home in London I enjoy drawing people in the pub, especially wizened older men nursing a pint!
I started my illustration journey by doing a 1 year MA degree at Goldsmiths University in Childrenβs Book Illustration. Since then I have been working closely with the lovely people at Orange Beak Studio to build up my portfolio.
Alongside being an illustrator I work as a Teaching Assistant and Lower School Art Coordinator at a local school. Prior to that I spent five years working at the Chris Beetles Gallery as an Assistant Curator; hanging and curating illustration shows for artists such as Michael Foreman and George Butler.
